General College Physics is the bane of my existence. It will be a miracle if I survive the next 5 weeks. We learned some junk today and I thought my head was going to explode and then my prof asked, "Y'all didn't think this was that bad did you? Well don't get lured into a false sense of security because it's going to get a lot harder!" Holy. Crap. I wanted to go back to college but not this stinking college!
So here's the deal: I have a nice family, amazing friends, a darling boyfriend, a cat to die for, I go to the perfect school, and I have a steady job all lined up. Still, I can't help but wonder, why does Michael's not carry wide brown and teal stripped ribbon that would match not only my brown and teal skirt but also my brown and teal shoes and could easily be turned into a watch strap for the interchangeable-strap watch that I own? One of life's many mysteries.

Allow me to introduce you to Portly Polly. Polly is 4 inches tall and divided into .1 inch increments. There are 40 .1 inch increments from her toes to her head. Once the red reaches her head, I will have finally lost all the weight that I want to lose. Yikes, I know. Every Monday after weigh-in I will add more red. I will also put how many weeks I have been on Weight Watchers and how many TOTAL pounds I have lost (ie: This week - week1 - I have lost a total 4.8 pounds). Hopefully Polly will help me stay on track because I'll never want to post a gain. So long Freshman 15 and more!

While we're on the subject - I really enjoy seeing how few points I can eat during the day and then use them all for dinner! It's a fun game that I play with myself that allows for faux fries and imitation ice cream almost every night! The downside to this is that sometimes I get full and end up with a million leftover points. Weight Watchers thinks that's bad.

I just ordered 61 pictures and it only cost me $11. If only I could buy the rest of my scrapbooking supplies in bulk. Guess that's what a job is for.
The song Ridin' came on yesterday and suddenly I got real College Station-sick. Go figure. Also, last night I came to the startling realization that I kinda miss high school English. Dumb.

P.S. There's a Tom Petty concert here on August 4th and guess who's going! :)

Grey's Anatomy - where have you been all my life!?

Tuesday, May 16, 2006

Best 24 hours of my life? Probably.
- Got an A on a test that I seriously thought I failed.
- Found out that I don't need braces, just a good speech therapist (haha, I'm cool).
- Weighed in after only 3 days on Weight Watchers to discover that I'd lost 3.4lbs.
- Watched the Mavs win their third straight game against the Spurs! 3-1 kids, 3-1!

I just spent $37 on gas! Geez, it's a good thing I haven't spent any of the money that I've earned over the past 19 years because now I need all of it to fuel my vehicle!

Saturday, May 13, 2006

I've been away from College Station for about 27 hours and I can safely say that the novelty of being at home wore off about 2 hours ago and now I'm ready to go back. What did I do here for 15 years? Things should get better once I start school and start working and once the pool warms up, but right now all there is to do is watch TV and look up Weight Watchers recipes. Tomorrow's America's Next Top Model marathon is shaping up to be the highlight of my weekend.

Friday, May 12, 2006

Hey, Weight Watchers - I'm BAAAAACK! :)

Thursday, May 11, 2006

The ride home scared the color out of Philippe, but now he's back in his bowl and a mediocre shade of lavender/white.

Who is this girl and why isn't she at A&M instead of her 20 pound heavier twin? Blah.

The good news is, I'm starting Weight Watchers in 4 days. Thank GOD!

I checked my email moments ago and I had 11 new messages! And hidden among College of Architecture spam, LSF spam, and regular old spam was one lone message that was worth reading. Great.

Why is everyone getting sick with finals looming on our academic horizons? Of course, I mean "everyone" in the most narcissistic sense - Sarah and myself. And by "sick" I mean allergies easily quelled by unhealthy doses of Sudafed, Excedrin, and Pepto Bismol, but still. WTF?

Why can't I be here instead of in my dorm room in College Station? Oh, that's right, I'm broke.

Monday, May 01, 2006

This is:
a) An office building
b) An apartment complex
c) A convent
d) An eye-sore

Technically, the correct answer is C, but you'll get credit for D as well.
We learned about Convent of La Tourette in the lecture class that I didn't have to go to today and I think it is hideous. Why in the world would anyone put concrete "flowers" (Le Corbusier BS for "walls") in front of windows? Why would you design a church that looks like a bunker? Does this even look like a monestary to anyone? GROSS. The video that we watched about it made me angry because this building just sucks SO BAD.
I hate Burger King, but this commercial cracked me up.
