Dr. Robert M. Gates has been appointed as the new Secretary of Defense! This pleases me to no end, seriously. I'm sad that he's leaving A&M but THRILLED that one of us is going to be calling major shots in Washington! I'm sure this is all over the news right now and I'd give anything to watch it! If Gates gets as much crap as Rumsfeld did (he shouldn't) or if his character or ability is questioned by the media or the Dems this little Aggie is going to be mighty pissed.
